I want to make beautiful things, even if nobody cares.

My journey back to the world of Paint.

My thoughts on Painting

What drives my vision is a need to be tactile, to hold a tangible brush, to remove myself from the world of static electricity and keyboards. It is my opinion that our generation needs re-linking to the physical world. The pragmatic world of computers and social networking has made us less social, less esoteric and driven our culture further away from the world of creativity.

My paintings tell a story, a narrative. The story is about a world where we choose between self-discovery and self-destruction.

I hope to contribute. I strive to create work that is honest and transitional. I labor to bring back a visceral emotional quality of levity and thought. Painting should remain a relevant form of expression and I will do my part to keep it so. Oh, it’s also a blast to create something from nothing. It’s my muse.
