Inverness

Located north of San Francisco. Inverness is a small fishing village full of oysters and wine and at times, foggy weather. A lovely break from the city. One of the happy places in North County. From memory I began this painting of a restaurant on a pier that juts into the bay. They serve oysters on the half shell.

We stopped there once, while riding the Moto Melee. The Moto Melee is a vintage motorcycle ride that covers over 850 miles in three days on motorcycles that were made before 1971. The image has always remained and so the inspiration of this painting had its genesis on that day.
